Hi friends! We are using an ACS 2.6 configured for Tacacs+ on a Windows2000 Domain Controller. Is it possible to manage that our 2611 router doesn't shows the authentication window for account name and password but uses automatically the credentials that the Internet Explorer already has had and sends this data to the ACS for authentication?
Thanx a lot!

What you want to achieve is not controllable from the routers perspective, it is dependant on the Web Browser on the client where you will be browsing from. Most browser have the capability to cache the user credentials.

The question was not about the caching capability of the browser. But about the way how could the authentication proxy on a router handle the embedded credentials of the IE's request. Because the IE browser sends in the HTTP request the domain user credentials by default but the router shows the authentication window anyway and doesn't handle the embedded credentials.

i got you now, in my opinion, it is not possible to do this on the router. The router will not use the embedded crednetials, it will always prompt the username and password and will want the user to input.
