It's obvious why forward secrecy is important for when sensitive data is being transported over an encrypted channel, especially if these sessions are over an extended period of time, yet for 802.1x authentication it isn't clear to me whether or not there is any added value for FS. I assume this is true even for PEAP based authentication methods so that all sessions are decrypted to EAP messages. Does anyone have any insights in the matter?
