Anyone run into issues with profiling device properly with iPAD mini and Chromebooks. Recent testing with customer shows that ISE was not able to identify the devices properly. We have a case opened with Cisco, they came out with a patch for Chromebook last week but still broken, continuing to pursue with TAC. Just wondering what others have came across.

Hi,
Are you able to collect any information in the profiling database or does it only show up as unknown or as apple-device.
Also which probes are you using on your deployment to gather the attributes? I think there are some issues on the wireless side where the CNA has changed and has caused issues with IOS7, but I do not think that is hardware specific.
Also can you post a screenshot of one of the profiled iPAD mini? Take a grab of the endpoint attributes.
Thanks,

Hi Tarik,
Thanks for the reply. I am testing this for Mike. We have setup ISE 1.2 ( running latest patch 4) for wireless BYOD
Issue: Chrome Book Device Registration - Not Supported
Issue: Chrome Book Profile - Unknown
Probes Enabled - DHCP / RADIUS / HTTP / SNMP

I was under the impression that you were trying to profile the devices and didnt see that this was related to device provisioning and onboarding.
If that is the use case then your best way is to go through TAC, there isnt much you can do about that.
Thanks,
