ISE 2.3 Licenses

Regarding the end of sale of L-ISE-TACACS=, and the proposal for the replacement product L-ISE-TACACS-ND.  It is needed to be verified if we can import the new license product on ISE version 2.3? Customer not planning to upgrade yet, so they can only purchase L-ISE-TACACS-ND for v2.3.

According to documentation the product number is for version 2.4 onwards (which is the suggested release) and I have found information that you can import the old part product L-ISE-TACACS= to the new version 2.4 but there is no any info about older versions?

Also, L-ISE-BSE-1500= is end of Sale on 18/2/19. So, if we cannot buy this one due to EoSales, can we buy the new one and apply it to Cisco ISE v2.3? (L-ISE-BSE-P4).

Many thanks in advance.

Team,

The L-ISE-TACACS-ND= license is a per PSN license. Per PSN license enforcement begins with ISE 2.4. An L-ISE-TACACS-ND= license key will load in prior versions but there is no per PSN enforcement in prior ISE versions with this PID.

There is a bug in the way smart licensing is enforced for this PID in ISE 2.4 and beyond at the moment. It shows a larger entitlement than is proper. That is a problem on the licensing server and is being corrected.

Best Regards, Kevin

Hello,

Did you ever get confirmation if the new license L-ISE-TACACS-ND is supported in 2.3? We are using smart licensing also.
