ISE-2.4 || Can we load-balance the PSN's in the nodes.txt of the ISE-PIC AD agent?

We have 8 node ISE 2.4-P4 deployment with 4 PSN/Passive-ID (2 PAN/PxGrid and 2 MNT).

Screen Shot 2018-12-20 at 2.46.58 AM.png

Customer initially installed the ISE-PIC AD agent on 2 DC’s and these two DC were further controlling 10 AD servers each.
nodes.txt were showing 3 PSN’s only in those two DC’s. I am assuming that 4th PSN was added later.

Now, we installed the new ISE-PIC AD agent in other DC’s and now nodes.txt is showing all the 4 files starting from PSN01, PSN02, PSN03, PSN04.

Questions:
Can we change the PSN’s order manually in nodes.txt for the new agent in order to do load-balancing?
Can we add the 4th PSN in the old 2 DC’s manually?

Please advise....

You can change the order of the PSNs in nodes.txt.  If you do, you will have to restart the agent services as the node.txt file is read at start up.  Nodes.txt is a list of PSNs the agent should use if the 1st PSN in the list is unavailable.  The agent only communiates with one PSN at a time.
