Hello, we are planning on upgrading from AnyConnect 4.1 to Secure Client 5.1 and are trying to find confirmation that the Secure Client 5.1 supports ISE 3.1.0

Thank you.

Cisco ISE 3.1 — you can confidently upgrade from AnyConnect to Secure Client without losing posture functionality.

Official Support Confirmation
The Cisco Secure Client 5.1 Features & OS support guide confirms that it supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, including the ISE Posture module, compatible with Cisco ISE environments

Additionally, the ISE 3.1 “New and Changed” documentation explicitly states:

“Support for Cisco Secure Client … for Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems” — starting with ISE 3.1 Patch 5.

This confirms that from ISE 3.1 Patch 5 onwards, Secure Client 5.x is fully supported.

Compatibility Matrix Summary
Component Version Support Status
Cisco ISE 3.1 Patch 5 (or later) Supports Secure Client 5.x
Cisco Secure Client 5.1 Supports ISE posture integration
ISE Posture Module 5.x versions Compatible on Windows, macOS, Linux

Migration Plan Tips
Ensure your ISE deployment is updated to at least Patch 5 on 3.1 (or ideally 3.1 Patch 6/7).

Upgrade clients from AnyConnect 4.1 to Secure Client 5.1 via your usual software distribution tools or ISE provisioning.

Verify posture functionality by testing EAP/TLS or posture checks in ISE policy for endpoints with Secure Client installed.

Summary
Yes — Secure Client 5.1 fully supports ISE 3.1 (Patch 5+). Just make sure your ISE is patched, and you'll be ready to migrate.
