ISE API Endpoint Identity Group Parent

I am successfully able to create Endpoint Identity Groups with the ISE API (v2.7). But I can't figure out how to add a group to a parent group in the API as I can in the GUI. Thanks.

You may be looking at dated information that is no longer accurate. The current API Reference Guide for ISE 2.7 can be found at the link below and the "parent" variable you show above is not referenced.
