Hi:
I'm doing a backup remotely to and ISE standalone with minimal configuration, just for Guest Wireless Service. It is taking a long time ...
Usually what size should be a backup file?

Hello........
What type of backup you are trying Application-only backup, excludes OS system data or with OS?
Could you please let me know about the size of repository and it’s type?

I was doing an Application-only backup through a VPN using TFTP. The repository was my Laptop. Finally the file was around 22 MB, but take around 2 hours !!! ... I think the long time was in some way related with QoS in the network.
Does the size file make sense?
Regards.

As you are connected to ISE via VPN, so I believe due to slow internet connection which usually happens and VPN always slow down the speed and consumes lot of bandwidth. This might be the reason of taking lots of time to take backup of ISE.
If you try connecting your PC directly into the same subnet where ISE exist, it will take very less time.
And moreover file size does not matter, instead of the medium through which you are connected, that matters.
