I am looking to deploy BYOD with ISE for both a Healthcare & College Client. For Device On-Boarding & Enrollment, would it be recommended to use ISE or Meraki EMM/MDM (Systems Manager) for device on-boarding & enrollment (ie. SCEP)? For Desktop Device Management, would it be fine to leverage the Meraki Systems Manager or would Microsoft SCCM be preferred? I know that there isn’t a simple & straightforward answer as there are various design options to consider (ie. on-premise vs off-premise).
Is there a Cisco Design document for BYOD with ISE for Healthcare and/or College environments? I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance…..

Hi Daniel,
Please take a step back and understand the customer need, use case and the problem you are trying to solve. Based on that determine if they need BYOD or MDM?. Based on that you can suggest suitable course. ISE and Meraki can be integrated together more closely than before.
Please use the appropriate section in the
that describes the functionality of BYOD and the EMM/MDM use case including Meraki.
Please see the ISE compatibility for latest information on integration with Meraki platforms
Cisco Identity Services Engine Network Component Compatibility, Release 2.1 - Cisco
If you are a Cisco partner you can access, selling security site that has information based on RTM
Thanks

As Krishnan stated its good to evaluate the need, if the customer already has meraki mdm then its recommended to onboard using that as its easier for the user flow and management overall with more features. For desktop device management its all up to what the customer wants. If its tight integration with Microsoft windows environment then SCCM would be the recommendation. If they are a vary diverse shop then Meraki might be good. That’s really outside of the scope of the ISE forum. We integrate with both.
