ISE compatibility with HP Comware switches

Hi,

There is a customer who posted a specific question to us regarding the compatibility support for their current HP switches running on Comware.

I have searched https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/2-4/compatibility/b_ise_sdt_24.html#thirdpartyaccessswitches but it does not specifically mentioned the Comware support, although H3C and Procurve is listed.

Any information would be great.

Regards,

Shaun

This question was posted in reference to a tender that was submitted and was asked during a clarification which we have to get back to the customer in writing.

With each new ISE version we have a compatibility document as well.

But the changes are minor due to the reasons I mentioned.

Testing in a lab will be the way to go , and we would be happy to update these findings in our documentation if you care to share.

Cisco cannot validate every vendor and model in the market , that being said if your device supports radius then it will work with ISE , really depends the features your looking to use.

Best is to test this in a lab environment to be absolutely sure what features will or wont work.

Because this is a tender, the customer would like to know the feature set supported by ISE for the Comware switches. Other than the Radius support, which is standard, it also need to state support for other features from ISE like AAA, Profiling, BYOD, Guest redirection, CoA, posture, etc.

If there are any caveat to the compatibility and support of Comware to ISE, preferably to be made known as well.

In our proposal, Base, Plus, Apex and AnyConnect Apex license were included.

As mentioned we do not have the resources to validate every vendor/model.

You would need to test the specific features to be sure.

Noted Idanny.

Do you know when the refreshed compatibility information is expected to be released?
