I successfully uploaded ise-patchbundle-3.3.0.430-Patch7-25070414.SPA.x86_64.tar.gz to ISE1, but cannot upload it to ISE2 via the web GUI despite multiple attempts in the ISE trial lab.

anybody what can be the problem?

@MonkeyBear007 if you are install the ISE patch via the CLI on each node, you upload the patch file to the repository and then install

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/identity-services-engine/215406-patch-installation-on-ise-and-faq-durin.html#toc-hId-689312512

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/identity-services-engine-software/215348-how-to-configure-repository-on-identity.html

When you patch ISE from the web GUI, you initiate the patch install from the Primary PAN, it will then automatically install on the other ISE nodes.

Cisco recommended by using CLI so i download to each node and that is how do it in production

Hi @MonkeyBear007 ,

 at Administration > System > Maintenance > LocalDisk Management:

are you unable to Upload the Patch ?

Hope this helps !

I don't use the web GUI but  usually down to local disk and run by CLI for each node

@MonkeyBear007 ,

 in my own words ...

 You can download a patch via the GUI or CLI for Node 1, but you can't do the same (GUI or CLI) for Node 2, am I correct ?

Yes, sir but i haven't try CLI and just GUI
I plan to setup SFTP very soon

@MonkeyBear007 ,

 excellent ... keep us posted !

How have you tried to upload the patch file on the secondary node? was that via the method shared by @Marcelo Morais? did you get any error when you tried to upload it?

even i can't upload by gui but  GUI upgrade copies to both ISE but doesn't work for the upgrade files as they are much bigger

@MonkeyBear007 ,

 could you provide more details, please ?

 Can you Drag and Drop the File, Start Upload, and check if the file is uploading ?

that doesn't work for ISE2 but only ise1

@MonkeyBear007 ,

 the issue is more serious than I imagined.

 If I understand correctly, the Upload File didn't appear when you selected Node 2 in Administration > System > Maintenance > Local Disk Management, correct ?

I am able to upload the file and see the progress counter, but when it reaches 100%, it hangs and does not display a confirmation that the upload was successful. When I access ISE 2 via the CLI, the file is not present there.

If I wait after it shows 100%, it eventually says the file was uploaded, but this never actually happens. The file appears in neither the GUI nor the CLI, as the copies did not transfer over.

This process works fine for ISE 1, but for ISE 2, it does not.

Could it be a space issue on ISE 2 hard drive? if you try to upload a simple text file does it get uploaded?
