Hello,
I have had the below request from a customer.
Can you please help me out wiht the right answer, as I am not falimiar with it?
Although the Wireless Refresh (DIP Project) Programme should be replacing the EoL/EoS Cisco ISE 335x Series ISE Appliances with SNS-34xx Series, currently the NetOps Team still need to provide ongoing Support to the pre-existing ISE 335x estate.
I note that the Out-of-band Management Interface (IBM “iMM”) is configurable within the BIOS/UEFI of the system, but doesn’t seem to actually work; whereas on other similar, Cisco re-badged IBM X-Server Appliances (i.e. the MSE and NCS Prime Appliance), the iMM is configurable (either directly or via onboard “immconfig.sh” script).
Is there an ISE Patch or similar which will enable the iMM/iLO port on the Cisco ISE 335x-series Appliances? I’ve read that this is an option via Cisco TAC (I can’t raise these) – although the configuration of the iMM itself isn’t supported by Cisco (i.e. it’s possible and can be enabled, but Cisco won’t support iMM-based Faults).
From the NetOps perspective, this would effectively be to monitor (IPMI/iMM) the ISE 335x Appliance RAM/Memory/etc. status, and crucially, to be able to remotely reboot the ISE Primary Services Node (PSN) associated with the FlexConnect (HDQU-Q1-ISE-P1) when it does lock-up (Memory Leak Bug).
Thanks

Martucci, although there is no official support for that port, the OOB interface should be working on 33xx appliances.

No, but again, anything to do with iLo port will not be supported.
