Hi,
Anyone who has an idea how to count license for ISE. Below are the scenarios:
1. Let say I have 10 devices that is logged in using single account. How we will count? Is it per unique device or per user login?
2. The client has 50 workstations, each workstation has 3 logins per day. Meaning there are 3 users that is logging in the device everyday. Now, on the count of ISE license, how many should they purchase?
Thank you so much.
Regards,
Jessica

ISE licenses are based on concurrent connections. If one account is logged in 10 times, it will count for 10 licenses. If one user disconnects, only 9 will be consumed.
It is irrelevant how many times a device is logged into per day - just how many devices are concurrently connected. So if there are only 50 workstations, 50 licenses would be needed. If you're doing wired you should also consider other devices if you are wishing to authenticate those such as printers, access points, phones, etc.

What about C1 Wireless Foundation licenses - ISE Base 25 End Points per AP license. How does that translate to the definition "concurrent licenses". Does 1 End Point equal a single concurrent license?
