ISE Meraki radius requests & Encryption

Hello Team,

checking the ise Meraki integration guide  https://communities.cisco.com/docs/DOC-68192 , it seems that  RADIUS traffic will use UDP ports 1812 and 1813 from the Cloud Management Platform to ISE.

Customer feels that this is unsecure.

Is it possible to encrypt this traffic ?

Both ISE and Meraki gears are normally on-prem so I do not see a need for encryption. ISE has options for IPSec or DTLS between ISE and NADs but that does not appear an option for Meraki.
