Hi guys
need some help.. the operational backup through the web GUI doesn't work. Neither via schedule nor on demand via "Backup Now" button but via cli it does..
Operational backup details shows:
Status : Backup Failed: copy to repository failed
Configuration backup works, scheduled and on demand using same repository.
We run ISE in 2.3
Any suggestion?
Thank you!!

GUI configuration backup takes time to be displayed on the browser. Have you waited at least 10 minutes until ISE refreshes the status of the process automatically?. You said that CLI works with no issues so the same should happen using GUI.

Be aware that you must select the remote repository twice. It happened to me that I had missed the remote repository in one of the required steps. See next.

I've done this that way before.

Based on your initial note, you can get to the remote repository from Primary PAN CLI with the:
ise/admin# show repository ExternalREP
RptExp_189303_Change_Configuration_Audit_2018-01-16_16-33-00.000000005.csv
RptExp_189303_RADIUS_Authentications_2018-01-15_14-12-00.000000011.csv
ise/admin#
Did you get the same OUTPUT when the remote repository was selected using GUI?. If not, I would suggest you to delete (USING GUI) the remote repository, go to CLI and verify is not there and reconfigure it back. Then try the backup again.
I am assuming that you configure the repository using GUI from the beginning and NOT CLI.
If this does not help, contact TAC. Looks like a Bug.

Thanks for your message Abraham.
GUI lists same content of repo as show command on cli. As I don't want to delete and add repo again I just opened a TAC case ;-) Let's wait what they say..
Thank you
