Hi Team,
My customer has come with a query, asking that he come to know that odd number(1.1, 1.3, 1.5, 2.1 etc) releases are short lived and even number(1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 2.0 etc) ISE releases are long lived.
Can you please confirm is this right? I'm looking for some details showing the release/patch plan of each release so that it will be easy to assist with these kind of release queries.
Can some one help with this?
Thanks,
Siva

Hi,
Unfortunately, that is not accurate and we don't have a 1.5 or 1.6 release. Our releases have been 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.0, and 2.1. Historically, we release new ISE versions about twice a year with patches for non-EoL releases every month or so. Hope that helps.

Hi Tim,
Thanks a lot for the quick reply. What I'm looking for is how any one can know how many pacthes a release going to have?
For example, may I know what is the current patch on 2.1 and how many more patched releases we can expect on 2.1? This will help to decide on a release which has more patches.
Is there a place where can I get this information?
Thanks,
Siva

Please check with our product management team. The number of remaining patches for a particular release is not deterministic as our teams take a number of factors, such as bug counts, critical customers impacted, etc..
