Hi board,
my CiscoNotification eMail alert told me, that a new BIOS is available for the SNS 35XX hardware appliances.
Until now, the appliances were shipped with CIMC 2.0(9c) with the hint, that that should not be changed (unless advised by TAC).
So now there is a new published BIOS: Link -> Cisco Systems [version 3.0(3S2)]
There is no explicit field notice or release note that comes with it. So I'm wondering why this update is needed an whether it's critical.
I'm just assuming it could be that: Cisco Integrated Management Controller Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Does anybody have more information about the reason for the update?
Don't get me wrong ... I prefer the CIMC 3.x versions over the 2.x, just because of the HTML remote console (no more JRE).
