Portal Issues - ISE 1.2 to 1.4

Hello;

Currently have a pair of 3395 running ISE 1.2 and are wanting to upgrade to ISE 1.4. As recommended this has been tested in a lab environment - The Primary ISE was restored onto a VM so that Guest could be tested correctly.

Current Guest set-up consists 3 custom HTML portals - 1 has the username and password embedded int the HTML file so that the user doesn't have to enter the username and password - Used to achieve the hotspot functionality.

When upgrading to ISE 1.4 everything seems to work apart from on a number of portable devices the authentication pages aren't working correctly - This includes things such as on Apple devices instead of "Done" in the top right hand corner of the screen it will say "cancel" and once pressed the user will be given the message "continue with no internet access?"

I have created a number of portals in ISE Portal Builder and the behavior is still the same.

When I created a default sponsored access portal it then works ok.

Any suggestions appreciated?

Thanks;

John

Hi John, all custom HTML portals are supposed to migrate over while keeping the same code but without the possibility to edit them anymore. With that being said, I have also had issues with the same type of portal where I hid the username/password for a hotspot/clickthrough functionality.

I needed a quick fix so instead of working with TAC I ended up creating a new portal that is hotspot specific. The hotspot functionality is now available in ISE so there is not need for a hidden username/password type portal.

I hope this helps!
