reauthentication of wlan scanners with packet lost

Hello together,

we activated 802.1 X in monitor mode in two locations. We were faced the following problem:

WLAN scanners authenticate when roaming from Access point to access point on the switch port on which the AP is connected. During this new authentication, the device is unreachable and lost his connection to our servers. In some cases lost up to 15 ICMP packets until the scanner is reachable again. In our case, this means that the scanner needs to be restarted in order that the user can work again with his scanner.

We use a homogeneous Cisco environment (Switches, WLC, AP, ISE...) only the WLAN scanners are not from cisco.

Does anyone know anything about this issue? Is this a configuration problem?

Thanks for your help

Thanks for your support but we have cisco wireless best practise so the topic with the roaming settings on the WLC is done.

Assuming 1 ICMP packet per second, if the scanner unable to work by losing network for 15 seconds, then it's best to work with the scanner vendor to find a solution.
