SMTP with Authentication still not working

I’m unable to access my mail server using authentication from outside the network. I’ve disabled fixup using the “no fixup protocol smtp 25” command, performed a “clear xlat” and a “write memory” command; but so far nothing has worked. I’ve double checked my inside/outside translations, interface mappings and access rules and everything seems okay. Further, I’m able to send email to the mail server from outside my network so I’m assuming port 25 is opened to traffic. However, I can’t access port 25 via telnet from outside my network, nor as I mentioned can I connect via SMTP with authentication. However, doing either telnet to port 25 or connecting via SMTP with authentication works fine from within my network.

Any help will be gtealy appreciated!

Post your config. Something is weird if you can send mail through it but cannot telnet to it from the outside. Is the mail client configured to use a dns hostname or ip? What are you connecting to via telnet?
