Hi people ,

I'm configuring SNMP V3 in my cisco ISE version 2.6, but I dont know what it refers with "EngineID" is it the serial number of the ISE ? or it refers to the SNMP server ?

I'm using the next commands :

snmp-server enable
snmp-server user ISESNMPRO v3 plain contraseña contraseña
snmp-server host 172.22.201.93 version 3 ISESNMPRO ENGINE__ID plain password password

The "Engine ID" is used to uniquely identify SNMP agents within the same administrative domain.  Typically, the ID will include a MAC address or some other value that is unique to the device within the enterprise.  It could even be the hostname if it is unique.  For more information, check out this description:
