SNS-3415-K9 (UCS-C220-M3) CIMC upgrade to 2.0 (13q)

Hi all,

I need to upgrade the ACS (UCS-C220-M3) CIMC version to 2.0 (13q) version, but in order to do that, I need the BIOS version to be upgraded too (from current 1.5.4h.0 to 2.0.13c.0).

I have to do it remotely, and the KVM tool doesnt work, even if my java version has been updated.

Have anyone ever done this? May I do it without the kvm, but updating both anyway?

Any help is welcome. Thank you.

You may have some luck with an ancient version of the Java JRE. Perhaps 1.6 or 1.7 JRE - it might be tricky to track down, but I have done it long time ago.

Of course you can do all this with a physical monitor and keyboard attached.

There is an all-in-one .iso "Cisco UCS Host Upgrade Utility" from download.cisco.com that you can put on a USB stick or burn to a CDROM.

I don't however see the versions you refer to.

Since this is an ISE forum and somewhat related to ACS, you might want to check whether ACS is ok with you installing any old version of CIMC. ISE is very fussy and will refuse to boot if you use the wrong CIMC (because of UEFI Secure boot).
