Supplicant issues windows embedded OS

Hello All,

We were trying to test 802.1x on a Windows endpoint which runs Embedded OS. PEAP MSCHAP is the 802.1x method we are using here. The endpoint is not bound to AD and therefore we are using ISE internal user account for PEAP authentication. The supplicant configuration is being pushed from LAN-Desk to the endpoint. Though the supplicant is enabled and wired autoconfig services are running and is set to automatic after OS startup, the endpoint is not doing an 802.1x PEAP authentication until the wired autoconfig services are restarted. Are there any issues or bugs with Embedded OS (Windows CE)? Are we missing something in the supplicant configuration?

Thanks,

Aravind.

Is this happening on all the endpoints and what version of windows is being used? You may want to check the NIC driver and update it. Most of the times, the OS itself might have not been at fault but the NIC drivers and BIOS have proven to be the culprit.

Sounds completely on Microsoft, did you ask them?
