does anybody know if it is possible to set an ids probe to authenticate via tacacs+? I have a few ids probes and I would like to access them using my network account instead od the ids local account.

If you're talking about a 42xx sensor, then no it is not possible to have them use a TACACS server for authentication. Sorry.
