VPN users Accounting : Please Help

Hello All,

I want account the number are users connected to network via VPN also who are they and what they are doing. I have configured local database(on router) for VPN users.

How to do the same.Please provide any link or document to do the same.

Hello Abhishar.

You can use local database to authenticate user hten use external raidus/tacacs server for accounting.

If you have ASA, you have the commands show vpn-sessiondb to display all your connected users.

But We have configured VPN users as local database only on router though we have ASA in our network. So we are using same local database to authenticate as VPN users. Also I have initiated command as you have mentioned but no output. So how account using local database on router.

Also how to use radius with current database? Please give some doc on the same.

You can configure the command authorization and accounting for the requirement you mentioned.
