Hi

I am trying to configure Network access restriction. I want that user should do only telnet in the router from any ip address. I am selecting port 23 in the option but it is not working.

I have to give * in the port then only it works.

Do we need to give TCP/IP port of the service we want or i have not understood the meaning of port here.

Please guide me on this.

Regards,

Jatin

Hey

Im assuming a lot here. When users login to a router or switch or whatever they are gonna come in on a different NAS-Port depending on the platform they are logging into. I know NAS-Port is a standard RADIUS attribute and its prob a TACACS attribute too. If this is what you are talking about basically it changes depending on the platform.

One time I know of that it doesnt change is when users are logging in over my VPN 1760, it always NAS-Port 500.

Hope this helps.
