Radius Attribute 31 (Calling-station-id) is not send by 7206!

----------------------------------------------

7206-NPE-G1 with Version 12.3(10b) (c7200-is-mz.123-10b.bin)

Is working as a PPPoE terminator for DSLAMs

Of course we're expecting all standard attributes like 31 is. But nothing of the kind!!! It does not appear even in debug * !!!

We don't need AV Pair for the project, but we strongly need standard attribute "31" which should be as MAC address of ADSL-client.

I have to work weekends but... nothing

Please help

The Radius page here:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fsecur_c/fappendx/fradattr/scfrdat1.htm

does show that Attribute 31 has been supported since way back in 11.x days. Further down though, reads the following:

This attribute is only supported on ISDN, and modem calls on the Cisco AS5200 if used with PRI.

The router has to be able to get the caller information somehow, I don't know much about DSLAM technology so I can't say if there's some standard way that the MAC address of the client would be passed down to the router for this purpose (ISDN uses ANI for example).
