what is the best way to change admin password (both cli and gui) for a 4 node ISE deployment

Hi, all

I have a 4 node ISE deployment as follows

1 x Primary PAN

1 x Seconday PAN

1 x Primary PSN

1 x Secondary PSN

If I change the admin password for both cli and gui, what is the best way to do so.

Do I have to deregister node first, change the password then register again?

Many thanks and kind regards,

The passwords for internal Admin user accounts used for GUI access are synchronised across the cluster. You can change the admin user password from the Primary PAN (either from the Account Settings from the main page or from the Admin Users page) and it will replicate to the other nodes.

The CLI admin password is not syncronised across the cluster (or with the GUI password after the initial setup). You can change the CLI admin password using the 'password' CLI command on each individual node.

Neither of these actions requires de-registering the nodes from the cluster.

Cheers,

Greg
