I will be upgrading from 2.7 to 3.0.
What patches are required from 2.7?
The table on the left says the last patch is required,
The table on the right says you need patch 4 or later.
What is the difference between the table on the left and the table on the right?

patch 4 is minimum

see below it is always recommended to got to the latest patch on current version..

also you want to go to 3.3 as it is the gold star - use the upgrade path there.

Upgrade to the latest patch in the existing version before starting the upgrade.

Note

If you are upgrading from Cisco ISE Release 2.6 Patch 10 and later or 2.7 Patch 4 and later releases and have an SSM On-Prem server configured, you must disconnect the SSM On-Prem server before you begin the upgrade process.

I have upgraded from 2.7 to 3.0 to 3.3 from 3.0.
I was worried about upgrading to 3.0 in order to upgrade to 3.3.
As it turned out, the upgrade was successful.
In fact, I did a clean install of 3.0 and 3.3 without upgrading.
Then I did a backup and resotre.
