why do we have to integrate LDAP to ISE if AD is already intergrated

I am new to ISE. why do we have to integrate LDAP to ISE if AD is already intergrated? isn't AD integration to ISE good enough for authentication etc?

Integration with AD is good enough to authenticate against AD, read AD
groups, etc. Not sure what do you mean by ldap integration here

i see LDAP under "external identity group". is there a spefic reason we need LDAP integratioin with ISE even though AD integration with ISE is already in place?

Because there are other ldap providers other than ad such as open ldap. If
you use ad then u don't need it
