We have just replaced a 4507R for a 4507R-E but I can't cant RME to manage it. I also can't get CiscoView to work.
We appear to have packages installed (see attachments).
Any ideas? Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot?

Hi,
I think you are using LMS 3.2. RME can't Manage it means ? you are not able to get the Inventory or config ?
Are you able to see device with it's ICON in Common Service ?
If yes try to RESUBMITT the Device from RME or if possible try Deleting and Re-adding the Device from Common Service.
If not then check the Device Credentilas defined in common service.
Thanks

Hi,
Yes, we are using LMS3.2
I tried deleting and re-adding the device in CS but this didn't make any difference. When the device is added in CS the icon for the device is a box with a question mark, rather than a switch Icon as I guess it should be (see below).
I also ran a device credential report for the device and this came back as OK.
When I try and use CiscoView with this device I get the message :-
"
Cannot find applicable device package for 10.172.32.10.
This error could be due to one of the following:
- The device package for this device type is not installed.
- Device support for this device type is not available.
- You are trying to open a component inside a device.
To correct the problem, either install a device package for the device type, or open the parent device to manage the component."
CiscoView works fine with my other devices (3750, 3550, 6509, 4507R, etc).
Any help greatfully received.

Hi,
Download the Patch for this Bug CSCto46927 from cisco.com ( for your version)
after Installing the Patch .. Update the device Pacakges for RME and cisco view and check the issue.
Thanks
