Hi,
We've an ASA connected to a 7301 router and we're getting timeouts when customers are trying to either download or pop3 off us. I've changed the standard timeout options on the ASA to a minimum of 5mins, but the pop3 times out after 30seconds or so.
Any ideas anyone?

Perhaps you could tell us a bit more specifically what timer you changed and how you changed it?
Is it possible that POP3 is timing out because some kind of traffic that it needs is not being permitted through the ASA? Perhaps posting the config of the ASA would be helpful.

Hi Rick,
I've actually moved the system in front of the firewall and still the same issue is happening. I think it may actually be a problem with our bandwidth suppliers instead of a config issue at this end so we're chasing that up.
