Assertion failed when trying "putty" to my C9500

Good day to all,

Having an issue trying to access my C9500s through putty (or other tools) - getting "Assertion failed!" Program: Putty.exe. Expression: count234(term - scrollback - newsavelines.  Abort, Retry or Ignore.  Ignore gets me to the login prompt but unable to login with the correct credentials.

I'm running version : 17.6.1r

Any help provided would be appreciated, but will open a case with TAC.
