Backup failing during upgrade from LMS 3.0.1 to 3.1

I am trying to upgrade LMS 3.0.1 to LMS 3.1 as a fix for numerous bugs we have discovered. During the upgrade process it requires I take a backup however this keeps failing and I cant skip this process.

I have checked the backup log and the Error is:

Adaptive Server Anywhere command File Hiding Utility version 9.0.2.3402

Starting database engine dfmFhEng

Error(951): fatal error: database engine 'dfmFhEng' could not be started on database 'dfmFhDb' in Bulk mode..

backup Failed: 2008/09/30 12:21:12

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With Daemon Manager shutdown, please post the list of contents under NMSROOT/databases/dfmFh.

Joe - I got the same thing doing re-install over LMS 3.1 on Windows 2003. Contents of the directory are: folder - orig, file: dfmFh.db

error rec'd:

No errors reported

Starting database engine dfmInvEng

[Wed Oct 1 14:55:40 2008] ERROR(969): Fatal error: Database engine 'dfmInvEng' could not be started on database 'dfmInvDb' in Bulk mode..

You're not getting the same error. Your error is about the DFM INV database. Please start a new thread for your issue.
