Cannot detect 6500 on ciscoworks DCR

Hi, I have recently installed Ciscoworks LMS package in the network and all the other network componenets like cisco 3550 have been detected and is available in the DCR but the Catalyst 6500 is not being detected and cannot be added into the DCR. The message that i receive is as follows:

"Application package not found"

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to detect the 6500.

in the devices center for any other device, type the ip of the 6500.

See if the server can make snmp contact with the device.

If not, fix it, if it can see if the 6500 show us in the cdp table of any discovered device.

If it is not you may need to turn on cdp on the 6500.

Sounds like you may not have a recent enough device package or MDF for this device. Exactly where in LMS do you get this error?

I get this error when I try to open the 6500 in Cisco View common services. I'm using LMS2.5.1, common services 3.0.4, cisco view 6.1.2

have an upgrade to the latest versions of the Common Services related Sotfware:

CV 6.14 is availibale from there. Also MDF 1.11

and

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Software/CiscoView/cvplanner.cgi

to find the matching Device Updates!

If your LMS machine has connection to the Internet use the "Common Services -> Software Center ->Device Updates" for the device specific files!
