Dear sir.

we have bought cisco prime infrastructure 2.2 and have just download the software:

Prime Infrastructure 2.2 Physical ISO Image (for GEN 1 appliance only)

PI-APL-2.2.0.0.158-1-K9.ISO

this is the first time we are going to install cisco prime.

the user have a server with all the recommend hardware specification for GEN1 and the OS installed is WINDOWS 7 professional.

will cisco prime infrastructure 2.2 run on this server without any problem?

waiting your sooner answer.

No.

That image will only install and be supported on the Cisco-branded Gen 1 appliance (IBM OEM hardware).

The ISO is self-contained and designed to be installed on that bare metal server only. It includes a customized RHEL Linux distribution as the OS. It has built in and non-configurable drivers for the exact NICs, Hard Disk drive controller and configuration etc.

You should be getting version 3.1 in the open virtual appliance (ova) format and installing on a server with VMware ESXi.
