I have a Cisco RV325 Router running FW Rev 1.3.02 (latest).
Using a PC on the WAN side I am trying to ping a PC on the Cisco rv325 LAN.
If I disable the Cisco rv325 Firewall Pinging from the WAN side to the LAN side works fine
However if I enable the Cisco rv325 Firewall and DISABLE Block WAN Requests Ping will no longer work.
Based on the Cisco rv325 Documentation (excerpt below) I understand that if Block Wan Requests is enabled the Cisco rv325 Fwall will block ICMP packets (e.g. ping).
Block WAN Request—Drops TCP requests and ICMP packets.
However if Block Wan Requests is disabled the Cisco rv325 Fwall should permit and pass block ICMP packets (e.g. ping) correct?
Unfortunately with Block WAN Requests disabled this is not the case – Ping will not work…
Is this a bug in FW 1.3.02?
Is there a fix or workaround other than disabling the Firewall completely?
Please advise – thanks…
