Hi,

I have a Ciscoworks LMS 2.2 with update and RME IDU8 (solaris). I have been that I have empty files in the directory /tftboot with the format YYYYMMDDnnnnnn-DirIP.cfg. This files are only from devices C6006, and there is a file new when I ciscoworks do a scheduled save configuration.

Is this normal? Why ciscoworks can not delete this temporary files only with this devices?

Thanks/Regards.

Alicia.

I've seen the same here. When Config Archive gets a config file from a device using TFTP, it must first create an empty writable file in /tftpboot with the same name. This is the way TFTP is implemented under Unix, for security reasons. When the file has been archived, the entry in /tftpboot is deleted, *unless* archiving did not succeed for some reason. So probably there's something wrong with your 6006 config, not with CiscoWorks.

Thanks for the reply, but I have installed RME IDU 10 and it works fine. I have not empty files from the 6006 devices.

Regards.
