We've replaced an old 5500 core switch with a new 4507 core switch.
When the 5500 was in place I gave it a "Display Name" in CiscoWorks of "5500".
The new 4507 was given the same IP address 10.x.x.1 that was used by the old 5500 core switch.
The problem is:
When I look at the Data Collection Detail screen, devices are listing the 5500(Display Name) as its neighbor. I've deleted the 5500 device from DCR & RME. The 5500 switch does NOT exist anymore! Also, on the new 4507 I gave it a "Display Name" other then the IP address. The "Display Name" does not show on the Topology View, the IP address displays. And Yes I have "Show Device Name" selected in Display Labels of Views in Network Topology View.
Is there a way I can purge this old misleading information?
