We don't have any other 5 switch stacks in our network. I followed the cable going out of the room (to where it goers I have no idea now). I'm about 45 days on this new network with no documentation and we're trying to map it out physically and put hands on all the equipment. But, I've never seen this before. Any ideas?

Helo,

That's just the name. Could have been a typo. What's the IP address of the switch you are on and the IP of the switch it shows as a neighbor? Secondly if spanning-tree is working correctly it should block one of those ports for data traffic. Can you show what state those ports are in according to spanning tree.

If that doesn't work maybe a reload will clear that entry.

For reference:

Show spanning-tree summary

Show cdp neigh detail

Please provide the output from the commands above.
