CPI 3.1 automatically adds itself as WLC trap receiver

Hi Board,

I'm using Prime Infrastructure 3.1 in combination with AireOS WLCs (version 7.6).

Prime has SNMP read and write access to the WLCs as well as CLI credentials via SSH.

As soon as the WLCs are added to Prime (either manually or automatically), Prime adds itself as SNMP trap receiver to the WLC and enables some traps. I know this is normal behavior and this is not new (was there in WCS/NCS as well).

The problem is, that I'm using Prime Infrastructure in a high availability design with a common VIP IP across both servers. So I want the VIP IP and not the physical IP as a trap receiver.

As soon as I remove the trap receiver IP from the WLC configuration, it is automatically added again at the next inventory polling.

Can I configure CPI NOT to add itself to the WLC configuration? I want to do it manually.

Of course I can remove SNMP write access, but then non-CLI templates doesn't work anymore.
