CWLMS 3.0 Data Collection Issue

At one of our customer place, they have CWLMS3.0 users for which are getting authenticated by ACS Solution Engine. The users have different rights on different device groups. There are about 80 Devices connected, all the devices are getting discovered and showing in the Campus Manager. But datacollection is happening for 3 of these devices only. These devices were manually added to CWLMS RME before the integration with ACS. The others were uploaded in bulk as per the proper format.

All the devices which were added in the CW after ACS Integration are not showing. Please help as soon as possible if there is any known issues or if there is any workaround for this. The screenshot is attched.

Make sure that all the devices which were discovered are reachable. Click on the 79 devices link next to discovery, and check that they were all reachable. Only reachable devices will be sent to DCR, and only devices in DCR will be data collected.

Next, check the Common Services > Device and Credentials > Reports > Devices not in ACS report to make sure none of these missing 76 devices fall into that category. If they do, you must add these devices as clients of the same ACS server to which LMS is integrated. After that, restart ACS, then logout and back into LMS, and run a new Data Collection.

We have performed the following tasks in the LMS server:

1. Added snmp-server host in one of the Cisco switch which is Reachable in DCR report.

2. Generated the “ACS not included device” report and found nothing relevant with the present setup.

3. After that a new data-collection has been started.

But at the end the result is the same.

snmp-server host has no bearing on whether or not a device will be Data Collected. If the device is not listed in the ACS report, and you can see it in the DCR device list (not the Discovery list, but the actual DCR device list), then check your Data Collection filters to make sure the device has not been filtered. This can be found under Campus Manager > Admin > Data Collection > Device Management.

Hi,

We have checked the same on Cisco Works, found that there is no devices listed in the Manually Excluded Devices list. When we are trying to check the devices included list, the page is not displayed with a HTTP 500 error.

I am attaching the screenshots and the pdshow and Anilog as well for your reference.

3 docs in this message and 3 in the next.

Next three attachments...

You're not the first to report a 500 Server Error when trying to get the list of included devices. I feel there is a bug there, but I haven't had time to investigate fully.

What do you have configured under Mode and Policy Settings?
