Hello,
After adding new switches to a green field fabric some of them are still in migration mode after trying to deploy them. This are the errors and warnings:
Severity | Error |
Category | Fabric |
Entity type | Fabric_Template |
Entity name | configSave:switchCleanupWithReload:xxxx |
Reported | 7 minutes ago 2020-07-24 03:24:21 |
Details | [3]: [switchCleanupWithReload:xxxx]. Line/Col:[0/0]. Msg = [Switch [xxxx/xxxx]: Boot variables are not set on the switch. Please try again after setting bootvars] |

But boot variables are set:
switch# show boot
Current Boot Variables:
sup-1
NXOS variable = bootflash:/nxos.9.3.4.bin
Boot POAP Disabled
Boot Variables on next reload:

Environment:
dcnm 13.1, bare metal installation on C220M4,

Spines: N9K-C9364C
Leafes: N9K-C93240YC-FX2, N9K-C9336C-FX2, N9K-C93180YC-FX
After removing and inserting these switches multiple times, one switch was accepted but three more not.
Any idea what to do next?
Thanks.

- Such issues are sometimes caused by software incompatibilities between the DCNM version and the switch-version , for instance. Check the necessary requirements , below is an example list for DCNM 11.1(1). If need lookup the same url for your DCNM version (easy to find with Google) and then further check the software version on the target device and check if everything is compatible.

Thanks for the reply. The other switches work with 9.3.3, the new ones have 9.2.3 und 9.3.4. All of them should work with 11.3.1.
I will now upgrade all switches to the same version and se what happens.
