DFM mail Notifier ???

Hi

everyday a huge of mail come from DFM.

Becuse I add recepint option my mail address there. so any way or step that DFM mail send a small amout of mail or when device go to crucial.

Yes.

Go to DFM -> Notification Services-> Notification Groups and edit the one with you as a member. Choose under Event Severity the check box Critical (others are blank) and Event Status Active (Cleared is blank)

You may need to modify your event set to only the specific errors you want to see also.

You will have to manually configure the mail_notifier by modifying the configuration file directly. You will need to edit NMSROOT/objects/smarts/conf/notifier/mail_notifier.conf, and add only the class, instance, or event names that you care about. Follow the comments in the file as well as the online help at http://server/help/dfm/tindex.html?adapter19.html#1056054 on how to do this.

I am install DFM in windows so where I edit it ?.NMSROOT/objects/smarts/conf/notifier/mail_notifier.conf this is windows file ?.

The path on Windows is the same: NMSROOT\objects\smarts\conf\notifier\mail_notifier.conf. NMSROOT is the path into which you installed CiscoWorks.
