Hi,
is is possible to detect the fact that someone connected to the console port and take an action based on this ?
I know how to configure the actions but I dont know how to detect a console port coming up by EEM.
Thanks

No, this is not possible. There is no event that corresponds to one connecting to the console (the RJ-45 console anyway). There may be a syslog message generated if one connects to the USB console, but I don't have such a device handy with which to test. If there is a message generated, then you could take action based on that.

I can only think of the authentication log through console (line cty) and configure to generate syslog message when anyone's authenticated through line console connection.
You can put a specific group under line con 0 and use a different authentication method to differentiate vty sessions and cty sessions.
Hope this helps, and let us know if you found a solution.
