There isn't a firewall or an ACL between the host and the switch
I however started a trace on perimeter firewall, but no traffic went throught it

Unfortunately we have only one switch with this model
We have several other catalyst 9200 and 9300 without this problem
They are on the same subnet and vlan

I dont see on the data sheet anything mentioning support for gNMI . But, if you have the command and considering the IOS version, it should work.
Which license do you have on this switch?
