Hello,
I am trying to discover our network using LAN MapShot and we have VLAN's. I am not able to discover devices on the other VLAN's. Do you know how I could do that?. I can see snmp traffic going through the router, but not sure what's causing it. Before, we were on one subnet and I could discover all devices.
Thanks.

Hi,
have you tried using SNMP community strings indexed by VLAN, i.e. your_community@10 for VLAN10, e.g?
See

for details.

Hello Milan,
Thanks for the info, I did not know about it, but I tried it and still not discovering. I switched one PC into anoterh vlan and run the discovery there and it discovers only within its vlan as well.
Any other good hints.
Thanks.

I have tried the same thing on the network at my location and it does not work.
I spoke to the vendor at Fluke and the person I spoke with said it does not cross over any segments. It (PC with the software) has to be physically moved around to get the network mappings.

Larry,
Thanks for response. So, I will have to go to each vlan and discover there and then connect the pieces together.
Thanks,
Aiman
