we have got about 7000 devices in Ciscoworks LMS 2.6. In our last issue with inventory collection, TAC asked us to keep the device count to 5000. We intend to reduce the number from 7K to 5K now, but can we separately remove them from Campus manager while keeping them in DCR, DFM and RME or do i have to delete the devices manually from DCR?
are there any ways to configure filters for device discovery for the devices i want to include?
Thanks in advance

You can delete devices from Campus Manager directly using either the NMSROOT/campus/bin/DeleteDevice script or from Topology Services.
To only manage a certain set of devices in Campus, go to Campus Manager > Admin > Campus Data Collection > Data Collection Filters. For RME and DFM, you will have to disable auto-manage, then manually add the devices you want to mange (each application MUST manage less than 5000 devices).
Import filtering will get a lot better in LMS 3.1 due out in July.
