LMS 3.0.1 - Unable to start Device Discovery

Hi,

This could be related to existing bugs that I see in this forum.

We just installed LMS 3.0.1 on a Win2003 server. When we started a discovery, it took a long time. Then we tried stopping it, and deleting the discovery job. However, the Discovery status (under Device Discovery Summary page) says "Running, please refresh the page".

Start Time is empty

End Time is 17 March 2008 (yesterday)

When we attempt to start a discovery, it says another instance is running.

We tried reinitializing ANIDb, reboot the server, use pdterm DeviceDiscovery to no avail.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Discovery has nothing to do with ANI. Please post the output of pdshow as well as the CSDiscovery.log.

Im getting the same problem now similar to yours.

Here is what's in CSDiscovery.log

log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (CTM.common).

log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.

2008/07/15 07:00:05 SnmpSocketManager: Shutting down all SNMP sockets.

Io error while closing SnmpSocket : Cannot assign requested address: Datagram send failed

Nothing here indicates an error. Please start a new thread which describes YOUR exact problem.
