LMS 3.2 Installation Error

Hello

We're installing LMS 3.2 on a VM machine running Windows 2008 Standard edition (64 Bit).

When running the setup the first message we get is:

You cannot install CiscoWorks LMS 3.2 application(s) on an unsupported operating system or when Terminal Services is running on the supported Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition, Windows 2008 Server Enterprise Edition,Windows 2003 Server Enterprise edition, and Windows 2003 R2 Server Platforms. 

The setup program will exit when you click ok.

You must either upgrade the operating system on the server to a supported version or install LMS 3.2 application(s) on another server that runs a supported operating system.

I've disabled all RDP sessions and ANTI-Virus Software.

The documentation states 2008 server Standard (64 bit) is supported.

Any ideas on this one, much appreciated ?

•Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

•Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition

•Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition

•Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition

•Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with Service Pack 1 and 2

•Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 1 and 2

•Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition with Service Pack 1 and 2

•Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 1 and 2

Both 32 bit and 64 bit Operating Systems are supported on the above versions

Thanks for the response.

It was actually LMS 3.2 we were trying to install on Windows 2008.

I think i've resolved the issue now.  I was trying to install LMS 3.2 on Windows 2008 R2 so have had this rebuilt as R1 and works fine now.  LMS 3.2 isn't supported on Windows 2008 R2 at the moment.

- Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition with Service Pack 1 and 2

- Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 1 and 2

- Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition with Service Pack 1

- Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 1

Both 32 bit and 64 bit Operating Systems are supported on the above versions.

CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution 3.2 supports only the following locales:

- US-English

- Japanese

Ensure that the CiscoWorks Windows Server has either the US-English or the Japanese version

of Operating System installed. Otherwise, you must re-install the Operating System with one

of the supported versions before you install CiscoWorks LMS.

Set the Regional Settings of the CiscoWorks to US-English for the US-English version and

Japanese for the Japanese version.

The following Virtualization systems are supported in LMS 3.2:

- VMware ESX Server 3.0.x

- VMware ESX Server 3.5.x

- VMware ESXi 3.5 Update 2

- VMware ESX Server 4.0

- VMware ESXi Server 4.0
